I am an event promoter. I was interested in hiring a company to promote my events and pay per view sales online.

I signed up for a $1000 contract. They claimed i can have them promote my events as i needed promotion. I had an event in Florida I wanted to promote. I gave them $500 to start.

They did a lousy job promoting. I broke down the actual views and they broke down to over $7 a view. That was only views not buys. Ok..

I understand they can't promise buys. Maybe no one was interested, or my price point was too high etc. That wasn't the problem. After that they kept hounding me for the other $500.

I called them and they were supposed to suspend my account. They "suspended it" for a little while. But they started with the high pressure hounding techniques. I told them I presently don't have anything to promote.

Why would I want to spend money on promoting nothing? So I had one girl send me an email claiming I can wait until I had an event to promote. After that they started hounding me again. I sent them the email.

Explaining the whole thing again. Then they started threatening my credit. I told them I don't want anything to do with them and I will follow up with legal action. I just received a letter from a collection agency.

I guess they are really going to push me. It is crazy because they didn't do any work to earn the money.

They don't really give a damn about the customers needs just their money. I would definitely stay away.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $591.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Hibu Cons: Super aggressive.

I hope HIBU can read this message.... What you can do to make up to your customers is to go out of business!

Why do you rip people off in the first place? Why do you argue with customers when they call? Why can you not just be an honest company? Why can you not let people out of their contracts early when they call crying because they are not making any money because of your horrible company?

What is wrong with you?

Who do you think you are? I am going to make sure EVERYONE I know steers clear of HIBU.
