I hired HIBU to set up a website and a small ad campaign around my area for just over $200 a month. The sales guy Joseph Boggs, verbally said that he would make it into a, “no contract arrangement just for you.” Got zero calls from that marketing campaign, so I complained.

He said, I’ll offer you a more aggressive marketing campaign that’s regularly $600 a month. “ He said it would be a free trail for 30 days. Now, two weeks into that more aggressive marketing campaign, not one call from a single customer. I cancelled, they said I couldn’t.

It’s a one year contract, they say. WTF!!!!

They sent me a threatening email saying they would take legal action against me after saying I would not be in a contract and I could postpone my start date. They went ahead and started my services without my approval or completion and they wouldn't let me cancel. I told them I couldn't get in touch, their rep was not responding to me and their excuse was he is no longer with us, but they still did not do anything about my situation but try and bill me.

However - I was able to retrieve a portion of the call with you and the sales rep and have sent that to our Presidential team to review. It may take them up to 24 hours to respond to our group with acceptance of the investigation. Unauthorized contract

They called my business and spoke with the receptionist and asked a few verifying questions and next thing we are being billed through our credit card they had on file from another account that was closed and cancelled. After finding out they charged the credit card I stopped the credit card payments. Now they are coming after me for $120 in the reversal the credit card gave. Hibu says that a person gave them a verbal authorization, which is the verbal contract to agreement of services. This is a receptionist and never did and never will have authority to make decisions for my business. They got my money for several years and we did not want to renew but a sales person called and set up this new contract with this verbal agreement with a person not authorized to do so. My question to Hibu is, how much man power has your staff spent on this account to collect $120 when you should not have been paid anything for the months the credit card company could not reverse! Doesn't seem like good management on your part to spend more than $120 to collect $120!

In December we agreed to do business with Hibu! We made it clear that we needed to preview the ads first! We never previewed and the ads were run! Here it is Jan. 28th and they are trying to charge me over $900 for ads that were ran that I never even saw!! I spoke with Josh today at Hibu and he made it clear to me...don’t bother reaching out to him to discuss anything unless I have payment! Terrible terrible customer service! Now they just threaten to send to collections!

They suck!

We have used them for our other offices as well & they just screwed themselves...as soon as those contracts are up...we are done! Will never do business with these people again!!!

Same issue here....ads were run, invoiced $1300 ...yet i have no contract and never approved nor was involved with ANYTHING! Had no idea they were actually doing anything. I didn't agree to any services and certainly no launch date.

I've tried calling but the phone is NEVER answered. They ONLY time they call is when my payment is late!
I had and idiot call me and say that the clicks on my website aren't registered through them. Um, really the clicks on my website at ACTUAL visits! Where are YOU sending people?

Don't use them...

Unless you have money to burn, I urge you not to use this firm. Our small business is into them for $3600 and we'll never see that again, with very little to show for it. I've since taken over our Facebook marketing and had much better results for MUCH less money. Until we are made whole financially for the big promises, failed results, and poor service, I will not stop dogging HIBU publically and privately. Shame.

Where to start....So far I have been charged for services not received, billed for services not ordered, assured that I would receive a response concerning the overcharges today. I have not received a response today as was promised. Put on hold four times to solve a simple billing problem on their part. They have taken payment from my VISA account but will not be able to henceforth, as I have stopped them from using my credit card. Would not be surprised if they try to force me to pay for services I have cancelled. Cancelled some services on first of month. They waited until tenth to cancel. Tried cancelling contract ahead of time and they told me I had to wait until closer to the contract termination. Most frustrating people I have dealt with.....

Hibu doesn’t deliever, they never provided the services they charged me for. I contacted them several times, only to get the run around and be told, it was yet, something else I wasn’t doing.

Eventually, I stopped paying, only to then be sued by them, here I am a year later, with what was a 5700 dollar balance, now owing 1166.51 and the threat of being jailed. Screw u hibu, your nothing but scam artists!

This is by far the worst arrangement I have ever had the misfortune of being a part of. I was solicited at my business by George Chehade "Senior Account Executive". During and after his pitch I expressed my opinion that I did not think Yellow Pages, which is now Hibu, would provide much of a return, that I don't think their platform (or book) is really used, and that I don't think it would be worthwhile investment. He would not take no for an answer continued to persist, and assured me that there are still a significant amount of use on both their website and their book. Obviously, I was skeptical. The sales pitch was very much one of those "I'm not leaving until you say yes or kick me out" kinds of pitches. The big picture was that we would pay a deposit, then, months down the road when the book actually ships, we would make 12 monthly payments to pay the rest of the balance. And, in the mean time between the agreement and the distribution of the book, we would have our listing displayed on their website that entire time for no additional cost, and he assured me that we should pick up a few clients that would pay for the cost of the advertising in that time alone. Reluctantly, and mostly because of the months of "free" listing on their website, I stupidly agreed to their services.

It has now been an entire year since that agreement was made and our listing has been on their site. An entire 365 days later and we have a grand total of 11 impressions on their listing. 11. That's not clicks, contacts, or inquiries. That's 11 times our listing was seen. 3 of which were me checking out the listing and verifying the information.

In regards to the book, it was distributed May 20th. It's now September 27th, over four months later. Now, part of what we signed up for was tracking of the website analytics and of the calls made to the number listed in the book (which redirects to our actual phone number). We have one phone call. And yes, that was us testing the number.

I reached out to George more than once to express my frustration. The only response I received was a "give it more time to work" and a complete refusal to try to do anything at all to remedy my unhappiness with the arrangement.

This entire ordeal has been absolutely infuriating. As a business owner I would never offer a "service" that literally does nothing to provide what I'm telling my customers it will provide. And, if a customer approached me with any kind of dissatisfaction with my services, I would absolutely do anything I could to make it right.

Hibu, and Yellowbook, and any other name they operate under is absolutely predatory, a scam, and entirely not worth the money. Be warned; do not fall prey to their promises like I did. You will most definitely regret it.

HORRIBLE customer service! I have been a customer of Hibu since they were YellowBook. For years I have PAID for a professional listing in several of their books, as well as online. I requested a change in my paid listings this year, and Hibu instead DROPPED my office ENTIRELY from the general listing, (the go-to free listing of all similar offices). No one searching under the general listing now will even see our name, and assume the business is closed. Too late to make a correction in a published book, we will lose a significant portion of our business derived from the lack of a listing here. This same issue happened once before, during their acquisition by Hibu; you would expect they would be concerned with a loyal customer being left out a SECOND time. We had considered working with Hibu for online presence, but not with the incredibly poor customer service . Hibu continues to publish listings of offices whose owners have retired or passed away over 10 years ago, but leaves out a paying customer, great job. Calling customer service consumes a half hour of time with absolutely no resolution . Buyer beware!!

Horrible! Horrible! Signed up for 6 months of search and digital ads=zero calls for the most part. Poor, poor performance.

Both Leah and Priscilla came into my office and showed me great results from other entities on the same amount of investment. Big song and dance. Anyhow from the start there was difficulty dealing with project managers. Put in digital ad things we do not do even do after going over everything on the phone and via emails. I actual wrote the ads, they did not even do that! As time went on the performance went from barely ok to bad. As September rolled around the calls were at zero. Tried calling several times to their customer service people trying to get clarity plus Leah and Priscilla as to what they were doing to improve results...nothing, they don't care... although they are collecting $1,175 per month. Even talked to regional VP, got nowhere basically it is what it is and blamed it on the website...so I guess he could sell me web services. The rep Leah, the supervisor Priscilla and the VP Chris just don't care, they collect money and walk away. The customer service people I gave my story to several times, never responded with what they are going to do. Since I cannot see anything they are doing, they have a great business to rip people off and claim they are doing everything they can. As a consumer, you will never know. PLEASE stay away!!! Actual example of HIBU email from HIBU Supervisor received below: This campaign seems to be underperforming, can we please check and make sure the call tracking code has not been broken for tracking purposes. We need to perhaps pause for a few days and figure something out, I haven’t seen a campaign underperform like this in some time. We are getting clicks however zero calls, something seems to be off. Never got a response as to why this was happening, they washed their hands of it.

Do not advertise with hibu....never ever sign anything hibu provides...there contract gives them power of attorney They are not responsible for errors or performance....they can do anything without permission from the customer If you sign the contract before reading it ,YOUR ***...BOTH THE COMPANY AND THE SIGNER ARE ON THE HOOK TO PAYOFF THE CONTRACT DESPITE NOT RECIEVING WHAT WAS PROMISED, .... WISH I COULD GIVE YOU ALL THE *** THEY PULLED ON ME....YOU MUST HAVE HIBU SIGN A PERFORMANCE CONTRACT TO PROTECT YOURSELF...HIBU HAS BEEN DESCRIBED AS DISHONEST BY THE COURTS....SAY NO TO HIBU

Rip-off

They sell you on the number of “impressions “ they generate then supply LITERALLY HALF of their promise with ZERO results! After my 6 month commitment I tried this myself and BURIED their results! They blamed FACEBOOK for a rise in cost... not true ... I “Boosted” my FB ad and DOUBLED the impressions WITH interaction of actual customers! I can’t say enough about avoiding these scammers

Horrible service. Refused to refund me after I cancelled because url expired and they don’t tell me. 3rd year in a row. Making me pay for the next month after I cancelled contract free. The supervisor wouldn’t even talk to me. Stay away.
