HIBU NOT TO BE TRUSTED
I hired HIBU to set up a website and a small ad campaign around my area for just over $200 a month. The sales guy Joseph Boggs, verbally said that he would make it into a, “no contract arrangement just for you.” Got zero calls from that marketing campaign, so I complained.
He said, I’ll offer you a more aggressive marketing campaign that’s regularly $600 a month. “ He said it would be a free trail for 30 days. Now, two weeks into that more aggressive marketing campaign, not one call from a single customer. I cancelled, they said I couldn’t.
It’s a one year contract, they say. WTF!!!!

Took several tries but got contract cancelled. Tried saying I was STILL responsible for payments, but my attorney said no THEY cancelled. AVOID these people!!
Wait there is nothing there because there ARE NO CLICKS! I'm paying them for NOTHING!
I've tried calling but the phone is NEVER answered. They ONLY time they call is when my payment is late!
I had and idiot call me and say that the clicks on my website aren't registered through them. Um, really the clicks on my website at ACTUAL visits! Where are YOU sending people?
AVOID because they STEAL your money and do nothing.

Hibu doesn’t deliever, they never provided the services they charged me for. I contacted them several times, only to get the run around and be told, it was yet, something else I wasn’t doing.
Eventually, I stopped paying, only to then be sued by them, here I am a year later, with what was a 5700 dollar balance, now owing 1166.51 and the threat of being jailed. Screw u hibu, your nothing but scam artists!

This is by far the worst arrangement I have ever had the misfortune of being a part of. I was solicited at my business by George Chehade "Senior Account Executive". During and after his pitch I expressed my opinion that I did not think Yellow Pages, which is now Hibu, would provide much of a return, that I don't think their platform (or book) is really used, and that I don't think it would be worthwhile investment. He would not take no for an answer continued to persist, and assured me that there are still a significant amount of use on both their website and their book. Obviously, I was skeptical. The sales pitch was very much one of those "I'm not leaving until you say yes or kick me out" kinds of pitches. The big picture was that we would pay a deposit, then, months down the road when the book actually ships, we would make 12 monthly payments to pay the rest of the balance. And, in the mean time between the agreement and the distribution of the book, we would have our listing displayed on their website that entire time for no additional cost, and he assured me that we should pick up a few clients that would pay for the cost of the advertising in that time alone. Reluctantly, and mostly because of the months of "free" listing on their website, I stupidly agreed to their services.
It has now been an entire year since that agreement was made and our listing has been on their site. An entire 365 days later and we have a grand total of 11 impressions on their listing. 11. That's not clicks, contacts, or inquiries. That's 11 times our listing was seen. 3 of which were me checking out the listing and verifying the information.
In regards to the book, it was distributed May 20th. It's now September 27th, over four months later. Now, part of what we signed up for was tracking of the website analytics and of the calls made to the number listed in the book (which redirects to our actual phone number). We have one phone call. And yes, that was us testing the number.
I reached out to George more than once to express my frustration. The only response I received was a "give it more time to work" and a complete refusal to try to do anything at all to remedy my unhappiness with the arrangement.
This entire ordeal has been absolutely infuriating. As a business owner I would never offer a "service" that literally does nothing to provide what I'm telling my customers it will provide. And, if a customer approached me with any kind of dissatisfaction with my services, I would absolutely do anything I could to make it right.
Hibu, and Yellowbook, and any other name they operate under is absolutely predatory, a scam, and entirely not worth the money. Be warned; do not fall prey to their promises like I did. You will most definitely regret it.

They sent me a threatening email saying they would take legal action against me after saying I would not be in a contract and I could postpone my start date. They went ahead and started my services without my approval or completion and they wouldn't let me cancel. I told them I couldn't get in touch, their rep was not responding to me and their excuse was he is no longer with us, but they still did not do anything about my situation but try and bill me.

Alfonso, I sent an email to you with the email we have on file. I did not receive a response.
However - I was able to retrieve a portion of the call with you and the sales rep and have sent that to our Presidential team to review. It may take them up to 24 hours to respond to our group with acceptance of the investigation. I will be away from the office (holidays) after 11am EST tomorrow (12.14.18) and I've clearly advised my colleague of your situation and she will be relaying any pertinent info to our Presidential team if needed. Again - I'm sorry for the issues.
